Glimpse behind the lens: Fashion walk at Idea world of design

I had the incredible opportunity to be a part of a fashion extravaganza at Bangalore's iDea World of Design. As a freelance fashion photographer, this event was a dream come true, offering a perfect blend of style, creativity, and professional growth.


A Day in the Spotlight


The fashion walk at iDea World of Design was nothing short of spectacular. The venue was buzzing with energy as models took to the runway, showcasing cutting-edge designs from emerging and established designers. Each ensemble was a masterpiece, reflecting a mix of traditional elegance and contemporary flair.


Collaborating with Waseem Khan


One of the highlights of the event was working alongside Waseem Khan, a name synonymous with excellence in fashion photography in India. Waseem’s expertise and keen eye for detail provided invaluable learning experiences. Watching him work was a masterclass in capturing the perfect shot—every frame, every angle, and every lighting choice was executed with precision. His approach to fashion photography, blending artistry with technical skill, was truly inspiring.

Bangalore Karaga: A Festival Steeped in Tradition and Devotion

The Origins of Karaga The Bangalore Karaga is one of the oldest festivals in the city, with origins tracing back to over 800 years ago. It is associated with the Thigala community, believed to be the descendants of the warriors of the goddess Draupadi, the wife of the Pandavas from the Mahabharata. The festival is a celebration of Draupadi’s strength and symbolizes the victory of good over evil. According to legend, after the Mahabharata war, Draupadi is said to have taken on the form of Adishakti, the divine feminine energy, to restore order and protect the world from demons. The Karaga, a pot adorned with a floral pyramid and a small idol of the goddess, represents this divine energy.
